The task
Key goals include co-designing a forward-looking ECPDC Sustainability Plan, identifying funding sources, fostering links with international patient portals, and promoting equal access for patient organisations across all EU Member States and Associated Countries.
Task 8.1 focuses on Mutual Learning through six exercises targeting diverse stakeholders (e.g. national/regional nodes, National Cancer Mission Hubs, funders, policy makers, patient organisations). These sessions will promote ECPDC functionalities, define ethical guidelines, identify funding, and provide insights for the foresight exercise.
Task 8.2 involves preparing a progress report on the EU-CIP portal, including its development and governance, which will feed into Deliverable D9.1 and inform the foresight study.
Task 8.3 outlines a Foresight Study to explore sustainability scenarios for the ECPDC and national nodes. It will include stakeholder engagement through interviews, surveys, and workshops, focusing on trends, drivers, and stakeholder needs.
Task 8.4 is dedicated to identifying funding opportunities and engaging international patient information portals. Meetings will be held with potential funders, and best practices will be exchanged with similar global initiatives.
Task 8.5 covers the roll-out of the EU-CIP federated infrastructure in implementing countries. Building on pilot efforts, it aims to adapt deployment strategies to a variety of national contexts, including advanced, widening, and associated countries, and will produce an operational report reflecting this experience.
